من بيان من المتحدثة بإسم الخارجية هذر ناورت حول الأعمال التي يرتكبها نظام الأسد في #الغوطة_الشرقية بـ #سوريا:
– تدين الولايات المتحدة بشدة الهجمات الأخيرة وإستمرار الحصار على سكان الغوطة الشرقية في سوريا من قبل نظام الأسد وبدعم من روسيا.
– إن الأساليب المتعمدة لتجويع المدنيين السوريين، بمن فيهم النساء والأطفال، ومنع وصول المساعدات الانسانية والطبية، وقصف المستشفيات والكوادر الطبية والمسعفين الأوائل في الغوطة الشرقية، أمر يثير قلقاً بالغاً. فحياة الأطفال السوريين والعوائل ليست أدوات سياسية، وندعو المجتمع الدولي إلى الإسراع في إدانة هذه الأعمال المروعة.
– كما ندعو روسيا الى الوفاء بالتزامتها بالتقيد بمنطقة خفض التصعيد في الغوطة الشرقية، وإنهاء كافة الهجمات الأخرى ضد المدنيين في سوريا.
– إن هذه الأفعال تظهر بوضوح الحاجة الى أن يدعم المجتمع الدولي بقوة عملية جنيف بقيادة الأمم المتحدة بهدف التوصل الى حل سياسي يحترم إرادة الشعب السوري. كما أنها تؤكد الحاجة الماسة لإتاحة وصول دون عوائق للمساعدات الانسانية وتجديد قرار مجلس الأمن 2165.

State Dept Spox Heather Nauert on regime actions in Eastern Ghouta:
– The United States strongly condemns recent attacks and the continued siege on the people of Eastern Ghouta in #Syria by the Assad Regime with support from Russia.
– Deliberate tactics to starve Syrian civilians, including women and children, block humanitarian and medical aid, and bomb hospitals, medical personnel, and first responders in Eastern #Ghouta are deeply troubling. The lives of Syrian children and families are not political tools, and we call on the international community to swiftly condemn these horrific acts.
– We call on Russia to live up to its obligations to uphold the de-escalation zone in Eastern #Ghouta, and to end all further attacks against civilians in #Syria.
– Acts such as these clearly demonstrate the need for the international community to vigorously support the UN-led Geneva process for a political resolution to the conflict that respects the will of the Syrian people. They also emphasize the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian access and renewal of United Nations Security Council resolution 2165 on humanitarian assistance.
