كتاب اسطورة مار قرداغ ( مار قرداغ ينحدر من سلالة الملوك الآشوريين. فوالده من سلالة نمرود الجبار، ووالدته من صلب سنحاريب الشهير.)

ما زالت كناءسنا تحتفل بعيد مار قرداغ الشهيد حيث توجد عدة كناءس باسمه وخاصة كنيسة مار قرداغ في القوش حيث يعتبر لدى الالقوشيين شفيع لهم ،

وبهذا العيد تقام مراسيم القداس والزياح في كناءسنا وتمتليء الكناءس بجموع المصلين

وعن حياة هذا القديس فانه ولد في القرن الرابع الميلادي اثناء الامبراطورية الساسانية

وبعد اعتناقه للديانة المسيحية فانه تعرض لتعذيب شديد واستشهد ولذلك يطلق علية اسم القديس الشهيد

وعند قراءة قصة حياة هذا القديس نجد انه ينحدر من اصول الملوك الاشوريين كما في المصدرين ادناه

بايجاز شديد اترجم بعض الجمل

في هذا المقطع يتحدث عن انحدار قداسة مار قرداغ من سلالة الملوك الاشوريين من حيث انتماء والده ووالدته وعن صفاته الجسمانية حيث كان جميل المظهر قوي البنيان وكان صيادا ماهرا

3. Now holy Mar Qardagh was from a great people (gensd) from the stock of the kingdom of the Assyrians (atordye). His father was descended from the renowned lineage of the house of Nimrod, and his mother from the renowned lineage of the house of Sennacherib. And he was born of pagan parents lost in the error [var. B] of Magianism, for his father, whose name was Gusnoy, was a prominent man in the kingdom and distinguished among the magi? And holy Mar Qardagh was handsome in his appearance, large in build and powerful in his body; and he possessed a spirit ready for batdes. He vigorously embraced the error of paganism, and was praised for his devotion through all the territory of the Persians.Page n40

والمقتبس هذا يتحدث عن القديس عبد يشوع واتصاله بالقديس قرداغ

But the blessed Abdiso answered and said to him, “As it was told to me by my parents, they were from Hazza, a village in the lands of the Assyrians. But because they were Christians, they were driven out by impious pagans, and went and settled in Tamanon, a village in the land of the Kurds.34 But I have no fixed place nor special abode to live in, because I heard from my Lord Christ who came and redeemed us by His holy death that There was no place for him [the Son of man] to lay down his head,35 although verily heaven and earth and the things above and below are His, and He possesses and guides and preserves them.Page n46

وهذا المقطع يتحدث عن انتشار المسيحية من ارضهم ، ارض الاشوريين

who received ordination from Addai and thereafter spread the Gospel in “their own land, that of the Assyrians.” Cf. n. 3 2 above on another passage from the Acts of Mar Mari, where these merchant-apostles are identified as coming from Khuzistan and Fars.Page n127

عن تواجد الاشوريين عند اقتحام الرومان لارضهم ،اشور ، حيث ارسل القاءد الروماني ١٢٠٠جندي ،،وعند رجوعهم الى المخيم اخبروا القاءد عن قوة الاشوريين

Accordingly he [the Roman general Belisarius] commanded Arethas with his troops to advance into Assyria, and with them he sent twelve hundred soldiers, the majority of them from among his own guard, putting two guardsmen in command of them, Trajan and John who was called the ‘Glutton’, both capable warriors. He directed these men to obey Arethas in everything they did, and commanded Arethas to pillage all that lay before him and then return to the camp and report on the military strength of the Assyrians. So Arethas and his men crossed the Tigris River and entered Assyria. There they found a goodly land that had long been free from plunder and was also undefended. And mov-Page n164

And when Qardagh entered his home in the city of Arbela of the Assyrians, he made a great festival (‘e’dd) for the pagan gods, honored Magianism greatly, and gave fine gifts to the fire temple. And after a few days, he began to build a fortress and house upon a certain hill called Melqi. And in two years, he built and completed a strong fortress and beautiful house (hesnd asind w-baytd spird). At the foot of the hill, he built a fire temple (bet nuriodtd) at great expense. And he appointed magi to it for the service of the fire.30Page n274

كان قرداغ يتحدر من سلالة الملوك الآشوريين. فوالده من سلالة نمرود الجبار، ووالدته من صلب سنحاريب الشهير.

ولد من أبوين وثنيين. وكان والده كوشناوي رجلاً وجيهاً في المملكة وشهيراً بين المجوس.

وكان قرداغ جميل المنظر، رشيق القد، قويِّ الجسم، ماهر في القتال وشديد التمسك بالديانة الوثنية.وذاع خبر بسالته في المملكة كلها وهو ما يزال في الخامسة والعشرين من عمره. ولما بلغ هذا الخبر مسامع شابور الملك،استدعاه إليه وأكرمه، بعد أن شاهد ما يتحلى به من الجمال والقوة. وأمره يوماً بأن يلعب في الميدان أمام جميع عظماء المملكة وأن يرمي السهام على هدف صغير وضع فوق سارية عالية. وأتوه بقوس وبستة سهام من مشجب الملك. فرشق السهام وأصاب الهدف في الموضع نفسه.فكال له الملك وعظمائه المديح والثناء على مهارته الخارقة. وفي اليوم الآخر، أمره الملك بأن يأتي إلى الميدان ويلعب بالكرة معه ومع عظمائه. فامتثل الأمر،ونال استحسان الجميع وإعجابهم. وفي اليوم الثالث، خرج الملك إلى الصيد بصحبة مائة من عظمائه وثلاثمائة فارس.فأمر الملك قرداغ بالخروج معه راكباً حصاناً من خيول الملك، وبالسير أمام الملك على رأس حَمَلة سلاحه.وإذ أوشكوا على الدخول إلى غابة أبصروا أمامهم أيلة تعدو مع ولدها. فصرخ الملك وقال: “ارفع قوسك وصوبه إلى الأيلة واقتلها مع ابنها دفعة واحدة.إذ ذاك هتف الملكبأعلى صوته وقال: “عشت يا قرداغ، عش وافرح بشبابك وأبهجنا بمآثرك.”وما أن عاد الملك من الصيد حتى أمر بمنح قرداغ هبات وافرة، ثم أقامه وزيراً على آثور) انتهى الاقتباس
