مقتطفات من الإيجاز الي قدمه نائب قائد عملية العزم الصلب، اللواء روبرت جونز، يوم أمس حول سير العمليات ضد تنظيم داعش الإرهابي في #سوريا
– تواصل قوات سوريا الديمقراطية مع التحالف العربي السوري تحقيق تقدم في عمليات الضغط على الرقة وعزلها. ومنذ بدء العمليات في الـ5 من تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر، تمكنت تلك القوات من تحرير أكثر من 3900 كم2 من الأراضي.
– تم تحرير عشرات القرى وعشرات الآلاف من السكان من قبضة داعش. ورغم أن العدو يدافع بقوة، إلا أن عملية العزل مستمرة والعدو يخسر المقاتلين والقاده والموارد.
– التحالف الدولي مستمر بشن الضربات دعماً لشركاءنا. حيث أسفرت ضربات التحالف عن تدمير 16 منشأة قيادة وسيطرة وأكثر من 30 عقدة إمداد وتموين للتنظيم.
– أما بالنسبة لمدينة الباب الى الغرب من الرقة، فإن تركيا والقوات الشريكة لها مستمرتان في طرد داعش من المدينة. ونحن مستمرون في دعمهم بالضربات الجوية. وأثناء تقدمها، تكتشف هذه القوات شبكة واسعة من الأنفاق تحت المدينة، وهو تكتيك سبق أن رأيناه في مناطق أخرى سيطر عليها التنظيم. وقريباً، نتوقع ان تتحرر المدينة بشكل كامل بعد أسابيع من القتال الشديد.

The Syrian Democratic Forces, with the Syrian Arab Coalition, continue to make advances to pressure and isolate Raqqa. Since they started operations on the 5th of November, they’ve liberated more than 3,900 square kilometers of territory.
Dozens of villages and tens of thousands of people have been liberated from ISIS. The enemy is defending robustly, but the isolation continues at a deliberate pace and the enemy are losing fighters, leaders and resources.
The coalition continues conducting strikes in support of our partners. Sixteen command and control facilities and more than 30 supply and logistics nodes have been destroyed by the coalition.
Meanwhile in al-Bab to the west of Raqqa, Turkey and their partner forces continue to squeeze Daesh out of the city. We continue to support them with airstrikes. As they advance, they’re discovering a vast tunnel network beneath the city, a tactic we’ve seen in other areas the enemy has controlled. Soon, we expect to see the city fully liberated after weeks of heavy fighting
